I seem to be happiest in the spring time. I have olive skin and it is said to stay away from pastel shades. I do think they are pretty.
Autumn season seems to be a hit or miss for me. I usually don't cope with Scorpio season well. I have all the fixed signs in my chart, so if the big planets are squaring or opposing something in Scorpio season...I am probably experiencing some sort of life crisis. But Libra season is my 5th house. So half the time I can have a really fun fall season. I had a pretty fun fall season this year, but the very end was awful and traumatic but necessary for me.
I do get told I look better with deeper reds. Maroon has been one of my favorite colors since my late 20's. It's a mature color so it makes sense that I would like it later in life. I feel like deeper red incorporates my Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn energy well. Bright red I will do sometimes, but my sister says a brighter red makes my teeth look more yellow. Someone said on this board a long time ago bright red can be very "look at me!!"
Lots of Maroon shades can go together well with out clashing. Makes getting dressed easy.
I also get told that I look better in ivory than I do white. I've been enjoying this color more in my late 20's.
I wont shy away from white though. But I do get kind of stressed when I wear it though, avoiding certain foods, hoping I don't spill my coffee on it. I study was done that people are most tense when wearing white probably for that reason.
Black, oh of course I love black. Since I was a teen. When I was little I hated it. I was too girly princess. But started to get into it when I was a teen. Black is a huge staple in my wardrobe. A lot of my clothes are at my father in law's right now. A lot of my black clothes. And I am seriously having black withdrawals right now. But I will say I feel best in black when I have sassy black eye make up on. With out it I feel like my face is washed out. I have wimpy eyelashes. If I don't put on black eye make up on and I have all black on I feel like a sad pilgrim.
I can see the fall/summer come out in my style. I really like wearing black with a pop of color. I feel like that's my personality.
I've also heard that people say olive skin should avoid greens, it makes them look sick. But sister says I look good in emerald green.
I've been getting more into navy blue as well. It's a mature color so it makes sense. My new winter coat is navy blue. This is another shade that makes getting dressed easy since most navy blue shades don't clash with each other. I was kind of lacking blue in my wardrobe the last few years I notice. Blue is said to be a color that shows trustworthiness. And my boss use to not trust me at all so adding more in, was like an occult practice for me.
I also notice I seem to like certain shades for certain items in clothes. I own a lot of red and maroon sports bra's. And then blue.
I also really like coral shade for skirts. One day I was like how do I have 3 skirts in the shade of coral?
I've also been adding in more browns and dark browns, but still not a main statement. Brown is kind of a trust me and don't pay too much attention to me color.
I will say for fashion fall and spring are my favorite for statements. Winter can be frustrating because it can really snow where I live so sometimes it can feel like I am just trying not to drown in snow, and not very fashionable if I need to go shopping.
Summer I think it depends how confident I feel in my body. It can be exciting to dress more skimpy but towards the end, I'm so over it. Plus I have been a teacher with the summers off for over a decade. I have fun dressing less professional. All the halter tops, tube tops, crop tops, one strap clothes. I don't like my bra straps sticking out of my clothes though. I own so many strapless bra's now. I also started straight up not wearing bra's. Who cares if I'm not at work. This was a good summer fashion time for me. With my strapless bra collection, and body confidence. I been getting more comfortable and confident wearing crop tops.
